I think this means when life is hard and you are given something sour, you improvise and make the best of it. For example, let's say you worked really hard for basketball tryouts and when the results come, You don't make the team. Does this mean you should give up on basketball? NO! Take this as a learning experience. Try to figure out how you can improve and tryout next year. Let's take an example from my life. In fourth grade, it is your first year to be able to sing in the school's music choirs and play an instrument in the band and be in the talent show and tons of other fun stuff. I signed up to be in this all girl singing group called Girls Ensemble and we had to tryout. Guess what! I did not make it in. Turns out, many fourth graders don't make it in. Several months later, It was the talent show. I signed up to do jokes. After tryouts, I got in! But my solo performance at the talent show wasn't amazing. You read about that at my other blog. So it's fifth grade, and this was a mistake. I didn't tryout for Girls Ensemble. Why? I was discouraged from fourth grade GE tryouts and the talent show. I knew it was a mistake because my friend who did not get in last year, got in in fifth grade. So this year is sixth grade, (for our school at least) it is the last year in elementary school. Girls Ensemble tryouts are right around the corner and I sign up. Shocker! Want another shock? I got in!!! So guess what! The Winter concert is on December 11th, literally a month away! See what happened? Don't let something get in your way. I remember when the lists for who got in GE was posted, fourth grade girls were crowding around the outside of the music room and I felt bad for the ones who did not get in. I couldn't say they were crying, but I could tell they were upset. I really hope they do tryout again. Life would be a boring straight road if you never had any turns. Mistakes happen to everyone. Failure happens to everyone. Nobody is perfect! You should be proud even if your art project isn't as great as your hoped it would turn out. You still got it done? You improvised when you made your mistake?Just remember when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Unless you want to use them as decorations. Then, yeah, that's cool...
See you on Saturday! (Or some other day if I feel like it!)

Audrey!!! You made it into EG?!?! I never really heard you sing before! I'm in Stage Crew for my school's musical and it's really fun. The musical is called Music Man Jr. based of the real movie Music Man!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I made it into GE. Haha. Our school has a musical every year too, but I don't know what it is. I never seen Music Man, but it sounds pretty cool!!
