We all need a friend. A best friend. A true friend. But finding one is hard. For some people, it's easy, but it isn't easy for me. I think a true friend should
- be there for you
- trust you
- care for you
- understand you
- encourage you
- help and comfort you
- have your back
- never take you for granted
- always listen
Etc., Etc. (Isn't the picture up there so cute?) I have great friends and I'm very lucky, but I don't think I have that true friend yet. God is going to send me her, I know it. (I plan to make a post about my thoughts on God) In most relationships with my friends, I feel like I am the third wheel. Let me give you an example:(Note: I'm not using my friend's actual names, but what I'm telling you is true) I've been friends with Olga and Keke since we were both in kindergarden and 1st grade. We are all on the same bus after school and at the bus stop, we are there, talking, doing homework, doing what friends do for 20 minutes or so. But Olga and Keke seem to have a special connection. They are on the same bus in the morning, they are in almost every music practice/group together, they are in the same class, they sometimes walk home to school together, see each other after school more often, and etc. Sure, I'm jealous. I feel like the third wheel. They are just great friends together. Same as Lilo and Stitch (Yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeesssssssss!!). The thing is I'm not the first one you want to call to come over, I'm not the first one who you choose to be your partner on a field trip, I'm not the first one you think of. I want someone to always be there for me. To understand. To not judge me. To be a true friend.
