Kicking Off 2014!

It's the last day of 2013! Whoa! How nuts. I kind of think of the new year has a horseshoe or a sideways U. Let me explain.

{January} | {February} | {March} | {April}                                  Then, that gap
                                                                 {May}                  between January and
                                                                            {June}       December is the new
{July}    years. Do you at least
{August}     see what I'm talking about?
{December} | {November} | {October} | {September}

Anyway, 2013 was a great year! I've learned a lot and did a lot. For example, It was my first time actually riding a bike. What? Yeah. Last year, I kind of learned how to ride a two wheeled bike, but I was never comfortable. This August, I rode my bike. Ouh! Let me explain something. It was hard for me to learn how to ride a bike and get comfortable on it because I have a mountain bike, which is bigger to your regular bike. As I was saying, I rode my bike and I was comfortable, I loved it! I could never go back to scooters! I rode my bike everywhere! Riding with Macy and going to Mermaid's Cove was the best! (You should check out Macy's and my YouTube channel to see more on Mermaid's Cove) I can't wait until the weather gets nicer (and it stops snowing!) to ride my bike again! So what are your plans for your celebration tonight or if you are reading this in the FUTURE, what did you do on the last day of old 2013? Tonight, I'm going to go to my dad's friends' new years party where we dance and watch the ball drop! What is your new years revolution? Here is list of my goals for 2014:
  • Last year, I wanted to be a better person and to help others and be a good friend. This year, I want to focus a bit on me, which sounds selfish, but I'm not selfish.
  • I want to change and discover who I really am. Kalel made a blog post on Frilly + Fancy named change, talking about how change is good for you and you should embrace it because you'll find out who you really are. That is what I want to do. Change is hard for me, but I want to own it and I'll do it because I know I'll later have no regrets.
  • Embrace myself! This year I found some of my loves which are music,The Hunger Games, Japan, and anime and I want to celebrate it and carry on those interests as well as find more.
  • Do more with my life. Instead of sit in front of a computer all day or sit around the house being bored and doing nothing, I want to do more.
  • Be more active. Common one I'm guessing. I love sports, there are only a few sports I will sit down and watch, because usually, I want to be the person playing the sport. I want to go outside more often (summer can't come faster?!?) and practice and play more sports and have fun!
In conclusion, 2014, bring it!

Top 10 Songs of 2013

In my opinion, these are the best songs of 2013, or really just 10 of my favorite songs!
  1. Roar by Katy Perry ~ No shock. I absolutely love Katy Perry. You have no idea. I loved her since I Kissed A Girl and Hot 'n Cold. I used to save only Katy Perry pictures on this old iPod my family shared and I didn't care. I saved them and never deleted any and kept adding. Those pictures are still on there, but we lost the iPod. Roar was the start of Prism, it went viral! I screamed first seeing the lyric video for Roar. I love her and Roar was big for me and 2013.
  2. Royals by Lorde ~ People may say it's the most overplayed song, but I say it's awesome! And every songs like gold teeth, grey goose, stripping in the bathroom, blood stains, ball gowns, trashing the hotel room. We don't care!  It has a great message to society and Lorde, you go gurl! Speak your mind, do whatever you want, we're free people!
  3. Thrift Shop by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ~ What, What, What, What. Ha ha ha ha ha. This song is super catchy and fun!
  4. Harlem Shake by Baauer ~ You gotta love these 30 second videos, they're hilarious! This song (and meme) really sprung out this year and I love it! Did you know Baauer hates this song? His own song! I don't know why, maybe because the meme got it so popular or he isn't proud of it. All I know is that I like it!
  5. The Fox by Ylvis ~ What does the fox say? Ding Ding Ding Ding! While talking about memes/internet trends, This is also so popular and hilarious! What was your favorite wacky sound they made? The first is mine! Ring-ding-ding-ding!
  6. Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus ~ I know what you're thinking. Miley Cyrus? Hel-lo! Have you seen her? Her and her drugs, twerking, and VMA performance! Gross! Her and her career are dead! I DISAGREE! I'm a weird 11 year old. I grew up watching Hannah Montana and thought it was horrible what Miley has done to herself, but I realized that through We Can't Stop, Wrecking Ball, and her new album, I don't care, instead, now I support her. She can do whatever she wants as the same as you and me. Wrecking Ball is great! It's an emotional song about her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth who he later broke up with Miley.
  7. Stay by Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko ~ This is a great song about a relationship. It's lovely and meaningful. I strongly support Rihanna, I love her music!
  8. Counting Stars by One Republic ~ My cousin first had me listen to this song this summer and it rocked! I started hearing everywhere. It's my friend's favorite song, one of Ryan's favorite songs, and I love it too!
  9. Die Young by Ke$ha ~ I always liked Ke$ha, her music was fun and popular and she is care-free and just wanting to have good time. This upbeat song is about having the time of your life and living your life as if you're gonna die young!
  10. Still Into You by Paramore ~ This song is awesome! I've always loved it, especially since Kalel sang it while listening to the radio! That's why this song has a connection to me, because of Kalel. Kalel once even said my name, but she wasn't exactly directed it to me personally. :)
There was a lot of audsome songs this year and here was some of my favorites! Here's to 2014 and its new music!

CRAZY!

December was nuts for me! It's suppose to so joyful and full of glee, but it has been hard. Schoolwork would keep piling up until you completely have drowned. I've been working so hard on completing this one book for school about the American Revolutionary War and still I haven't finished, but it's okay. I can breath now. Christmas is offcially offically officially over for me because today, I returned from my Christmas visit up to where my grandparent's house is. It was Sabrina's third birthday yesterday. Happy one-day late birthday to you! Anyway, It sucks that Christmas is over. You wait so long, then BOOM! OVER. I wished I had more time to enjoy this Christmas season, but like I said, this December was crazy. I was busy with homework, snow delays would throw me off, and weekends would always be busy for me, but somehow, I managed through it. The only  thing that will keep me excited for the rest of winter break is New Years Eve. Speaking about the New Years, I have two posts I have planned for you that I'll post real soon! Hopefully January 2014 won't be as crazy! Bye 4 now!

11 Days until Christmas :)

I don't know about you, but I celebrate Christmas and it is such a happy time of year! Lately, It has been snowing a lot this past week. On Monday, we had a two hour delay from school and on Tuesday, we had the day off! It also snowed today. On Wednesday, It was our school's Winter Concert and it was fun! Girls Ensemble and the Boys Barbershop had a duet singing "Christmas in About 3 Minutes" and I think GE won the "competition", not just because I am in GE, but GE was much louder and stronger. Today, I had my friend Sarah over and we watched "The Sound of Music Live", the Broadway musical with Carrie Underwood and it was the first time I watched "The Sound of Music" and it was very good, but I didn't understand a few things. Like after Maria's marriage, she seems more of a wealthy wife than like a singing nun. I don't know, maybe I should look more into "The Sound of Music". Tomorrow, I'm going to a soccer game, not like a local one, but another thing. You see, my mom is obsessed with the singer Cody Karey and she is going to meet him there and I'm tagging along. Anyway, How are you, the person who is reading this,? What do you want for Christmas? Well, I hope you get it. Bye 4 now!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF CONNIE

You may not know of this person or channel, but Connie Kin was a mother of one son and the best friend of Elle (the woman who made this video). Connie died from childbirth on November 21st, 2013. Elle had made this YouTube channel called "What's Up Moms" and Connie did videos with Elle on Mondays doing Mommy Hauls. Connie had a son named Nathan who is, I'm sorry, but I believe he is three and she cared for him so much. God bless her family. Her daughter, Ella, who survived, and Nathan. These two being so young to lose their mother, especially Ella. :(

I wish Elle, Meg, Andrew (Connie's husband), and Connie's family the best of wishes. It was certainly a hard lost for them. What's Up Moms established a "Connie Kin Memorial Fund" for Andrew to support charities that honor Connie's legacy and support the causes she believed in. (I got this information from the description box of the video and please, if you will, you should read the description box)

Let's all have a moment of silence...
"Behind the scenes, Connie was my best friend. She was so smart, pretty, charismatic. I just wanted her to be a part of everything I did, including YouTube."
"Connie was always initiating the fun."
"Above all else, Connie was an amazing and inspiring mother. She cared so much for Nathan and so, so excited for you, Ella."
"Behave of Meg and the entire What's Up Moms family, I just want to thank you for keeping her family in your prayers and Connie close to your heart."
"I miss you so much Connie. I love you."
~Elle

We love you Connie, Rest In Peace. We will never forget you.

Turkey Thursday on Saturday, Pilates, and the Zombie Finger!

I wasn't here on Saturday because we had Thanksgiving (or Turkey Thursday) dinner on Saturday. It was fun, I learned how to play chess and almost won musical chairs. The food was great, even though we had chicken instead of turkey! (The pumpkin and apple pie was the best part! Heehee) You're going hear me roar! Roar, Roar, Roar, Roar! - listening to Roar by Katy Perry. Anyway, Yesterday, I didn't do much. And we'll never be royal! Royal!  - listening to Royals by Lorde (I made a playlist on YouTube) Today, I woke up and went downstairs to feed my cats and after that, I turned on the TV because I was bored. There was nothing good on, including Pokemon. Okay, Let me explain- I love Pokemon, but hate the TV show. Why?!? ASH ALWAYS WINS, AND PIKACHU ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE SOOO  POWERFUL! Sorry, I needed to say that. As I was saying, I found this fitness and exercise while searching in guide, so I was like Hey! Why not get fit? So I did some yoga on one episode, but it was short. So then came on pilates and I did that for an hour. This game been played before. 73 x 1. Faster you die, faster you lose. That's the price of one. - The Arena! The Arena! Epic song on The Hunger Games! On Joey Graceffa's channel. (I'll do a post on this song I discovered yesterday!)
Where was I? Oh! Okay. So after doing my workout, I felt so good about myself. Winter is on to us, so it is too cold to go outside and it is hard to get active for at least on hour a day when you can't go outside as much as you did when the weather was nicer. Anyway, I came back up to my room and went on my computer. After awhile, I broke this mechanical pencil that doesn't work anymore and I cut my finger, so I put a bandage on the cut. My mom had to go to Dunkin Donuts to get her 99 cent iced coffee, so in the car, I noticed my bandaged finger looked like a zombie. It was very pale and kind of green and my fingernail was purple and blue (and I had no nail polish, just to not confuse anyone) I called it The Zombie Finger!!! I realized my bandage was on pretty tight and some blood flow through my finger was blocked. So I un- umm.. wrapped (?) it and now its back to normal. So yeah, I've been playing Panem Run, which like Temple Run, but so much awesomer. < That's not even a word! Who cares!  Okay,You guessed it. (Or not) CATCHING FIRE! You go through the districts, collecting flames and materials and you jump over, slide under, and move away from obstacles. There is even an archery part during the run where you can shoot arrows at targets; left, right, and centered! It is the last day on Thanksgiving break and that stinks. But then I have a few weeks until Christmas break! Heehee. I even have some plans associated with this blog for the New Years. Anyway, Bye 4 now!
